UN Warns: Russian Drones Threaten Relief Efforts in Ukraine

The United Nations has sounded a stark warning: Russian drone attacks are increasingly jeopardizing humanitarian relief operations in Ukraine. As the war drags on, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles has expanded beyond military targets, striking infrastructure and areas critical to aid delivery. This escalation underscores how modern warfare blurs the line between combat zones and civilian lifelines.  

Humanitarian agencies rely on secure corridors to deliver food, medicine, and shelter to millions displaced by the conflict. Yet drone strikes on warehouses, transport hubs, and even near border crossings have disrupted supply chains. Aid convoys are forced to reroute or delay, leaving vulnerable populations exposed to hunger, disease, and harsh conditions. The UN has warned that such attacks not only violate international humanitarian law but also risk creating a humanitarian catastrophe.
