BRAHMOS in Action in Operation Sindoor – India’s Missile Strikes and Strategic Aftermath

A recent report has claimed that during Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out extensive missile strikes against Pakistani military installations. According to the report, the IAF fired 19 BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles at Pakistani airbases, while around 19 French SCALP cruise missiles were also deployed in precision strikes.  

Targets and Impact  

The operation reportedly focused on key Pakistani airbases, including Sargodha, Rafiqui, Jacobabad, and Nur Khan. These bases are considered critical to Pakistan’s air defence and strike capabilities. The use of both BrahMos and SCALP missiles highlights India’s strategy of combining indigenous capabilities with advanced imported systems to maximize operational effectiveness.
