NTA Warns Against NEET Exam Scams on Telegram

Ahead of the NEET UG re‑examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a strong advisory urging parents and candidates to beware of scammers. In a social media post, NTA revealed that fraudulent Telegram channels are demanding money ranging from ₹14,000 to ₹25,000, falsely claiming to share leaked re‑exam papers.

The agency clarified that no question paper has been leaked and warned that fake “proof” videos showing chats from before the exam are being circulated to mislead candidates. To reinforce its message, NTA shared a video of its Director General Abhishek Singh, explaining the rationale behind blocking Telegram access in India during the exam period.

Speaking to the media, Singh assured that NTA is committed to ensuring a **secure and malpractice‑free examination**. He emphasized that multiple layers of security have been added to protect the integrity of the process—covering question paper setting, translation, printing, transportation, and storage.

This advisory highlights the growing challenge of digital fraud in competitive examinations and the government’s determination to safeguard students from exploitation.
